Brant Gilmer Dog Ventriloquist Figure “Danny Dog”

Brant Gilmer is one of the finest makers of wood carved figures today. He has been around for quite a long time but has kind of stayed in the shadows and even though he stays very quiet and out of sight he has a waiting list of about 3 years to have a figure built.

My webmaster Steve Hurst uses a Gilmer figure which he has named “Charlie Dawg.” He has taken him to the ConVENTion where Charlie Dawg was a hit. He has also lent Charlie Dawg to Alyse Eddy (former Miss Arkansas and former runner up to Miss America) who used Charlie at her appearance on Terry Fator’s show in Las Vegas. You can also see Charlie Dawg perform if you look at some of the videos Steve Hurst has posted.

Today I am pleased to show you “Danny Dog” who happens to be a member of the Ventriloquist Central Collection. Danny Dog is a full size 40″ tall figure and has slot jaw, side to side self centering eyes and the ears raise separately or both together.

He is all original and the paint is a rather unusual blue/green color with yellow snout and big blue eyes. His paws are also carved wood and painted in the same colors.

A great figure and a happy member of the Ventriloquist Central Collection.
