Botley Figure In Ventriloquist Central Collection

botley cheeky boy 002

I showed you all a wonderful picture showcasing the creations from Walt Botley, the other English ventriloquist Figure builder and so now it is my pleasure to show you one of his fabulous creations.

This is a superb example of a Cheeky boy done by Walt Botley. He is a full 40″ tall and just as with Insull figures, his head is made of paper mache. He has side to side moving eyes by way of weights.

When you move the head the eyes move back and forth. One eye has a winker and of course he has mouth movement. His mouth actually opens wider than the Insull figures. Botley impressed his name into the head stick.

The hair is crepe and all there and his paint is in fantastic original condition. I really think this fellow is dapper and a rare find today in the ventriloquile world.

I don’t know why, but for some reason this figure puts me in mind of Jay Leno, especially some of the other figures.

  2. Lee Dean says:

What a great figure. I can not look at this figure without laughing or smiling. It is something else, a court jester type of figure.
