A Video of Spanish Ventriloquist Francisco Sanz

FranciscoSanz

Back in May and August 2010 Marcelo Melison sent us information about the Spanish ventriloquist Francisco Sanz who also built figures (click here to see those blogs).

Well our good friend Doug Preis sent us information on this video of Francisco Sanz. Funny how we as collectors and ventriloquists think that the McElroy Brothers produced the greatest figures ever.

Well sorry boys move over. Here is a film from 1918 about a Spanish ventriloquist named Francisco Sanz.

Even if you can’t understand the Spanish text you are going to love looking at the sculptures and the mechanics of these incredible ventriloquist figures.

Now my quest is to find one of these figures for the Ventriloquist Central Collection

One word sums it all up: WOW! I certainly wouldn’t mind having one of his figures! Any way we could get the Spanish text translated? I’d love to be able to know what it says. Perhaps some piano (or Spanish guitar) from the era in the background?

Absolutely amazing, what a show that must have been in person. the figure at 38:00 is so great. Dan, find one of these figures some way, some how, so that I can drive down and admire the greatness! Thanks for sharing!
