A Classic Frank Marshall Ventriloquist Figure

classic marshall figure 001

Today I am pleased to show you another of the master builder Frank Marshall’s creations. This figure is from the 1930’s and is a full size figure standing 40″ tall.

He has stationary eye but he has slot jaw and upper lip smile. His head stick is the long style to the bottom of the body giving the performer the ability to spin the head around in a full 360 degree rotation.

He has much of the original paint but there is also some touch up as well. His hands have been repainted a flesh tone but no longer patch. His wig is old but I do not believe it is original.

I love this fellows look and has that impish appeal that Charlie McCarthy had.

Unfortunately I have no history on previous ownership of this Marshall figure as all was either lost or discarded many years ago. I love this guy!!

Very nice figure, Dan! It still has a ‘Mack look,’ but I liked the skin tone. Congratulations!
